Hi Joel, none of the items are live music items, therefore the live music import form won't work with them.

Hi Joel, I just looked and "gov_new_homestead_days" is listed as approved by curator - so I think you're all set. Let me know if not.

i'm not sure i understand; i'm trying
to import them to add to the open source
audio collection; do they *have* to be
live recs for the live music archive or
am i misunderstanding the purpose of the
audio section?

thanks.

For the Live Music Archive,
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree.php
Arrange an Upload is
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-contribute.php?stage=upload_info
For complete, live, lossless-audio performances into individual band-approved sections.

For Open Source Audio,
http://www.archive.org/audio/collection.php?collection=opensource_audio
Get Upload Information is
http://www.archive.org/audio/audio-contribute.php?stage=upload_info
For more freeform audio uploads, where the uploader has the appropriate rights to make them available.

thanks for the details ...

my original assumption was correct;
since the majority of my recs are not
actual shows, my process, *post* ftp
upload has been to been to use the open
source import form.

i have still got a predicament, however,
in that the open source import form finds
nothing in my ftp folder, not even anything
erroneous; the import form simply returns
white space beneath the standard search
drop down.

i know the files are there as each time
i ftp in to the ftp server, everything
looks fine.

i was considering using the ccpublisher
tool and started to download folders from
the ftp folder but the ftp server said i
didn't have download rights! argh!

anyway, if there was someway to simply
work with the existing directories and
files on the server, that would be my
preference.

are there any admins out there that can
assist in finding out why the open source
audio form fails to find anything in my
dirs??

thanks in advance,
.joel.
